The Meadow Croft Estate is in the center of the Suffolk County Sans Souci Lake Nature Preserve in Sayville. This lake separates Sayville from Bayport. The park has a cozy country setting beginning with it's long dirt road, narrow concrete bridge surrounded by marsh land with tall grass. The land stretches from the east and west branches of Browns Creek. There are several buildings on the property. Come and explore the main house, older farm house, The Colonial Revival main block, stable, coach house and the caretaker's cottage. All have something to offer!

Directions: Long Island Expressway (Route 495) to Exit 62 South (Nicolls Road.) At end, turn right onto Montauk Highway (Route 27A). Go about one mile and at Amoco Gas Station, turn left onto McConnell Ave. Go to end, make right onto Middle Road. Entrance is on the right.

The Bayport Heritage Association gives tours of the main house on Sundays from spring to fall. Please call (631) 472-4625 for more information. Roosevelt's Carriage House, which he once used an an art studio, has been restored and is now being utilized again by artists from Splashes of Hope. Meet the artists and get a free, guided tour of the carriage house and studio on Sundays between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.
